China Glaze "Light as Air" (A.K.A. lilac drops keep fallin' on ma head...)

In case my readers have not noticed, I went on a spring/summer colors spree! This is the third to last in that spree, China Glaze “Light as Air.” It makes me think of clouds made of lilac. They would rain lilac petals and balls of lavender cotton candy (maybe it sounds weird, but it’s delicious. Comes with living in a hippie organic city.) It’s a little bit hard to apply, as in ridonculously streaky, but it ends up just fine! This is three thin coats and one thicker one.
The pictures look a little bit odd, with each nail looking slightly different, but that is actually how it is sort of. Each nail looks like what it looks like in a different light. It’s not particularly multi-dimensional, but it absolutely is touchy with what color it is. Sometimes it’s periwinkle, sometimes it’s lavender… its always WONDERFUL!

Love, and happy weekend,

China Glaze "Good Witch?" (A.K.A. some like it weird)

So this is basically my new favorite nail polish. There is absolutely nothing classy about it, nothing refined, but it is fun, and fairy-tale, and multi-dimensional, and pretty, and has the magical property of being a polish that I would HATE on paper!
This is “Good Witch?” by China Glaze. It is a pale pink frosty foily metallic base with tiny darker pink square glitter mixed in. It is crazy fun to apply, it’s one of those polishes (which I love) that no matter how many coats you put on (I used 3-4 depending on the nail, because I’m picky about opacity) still feels light and flat on your nail. Smooth, however, it is not. Even with a coat of Seche this still felt gritty. Also on the negative side, although it didn’t bother me I can see people being bothered by the glitter, since not all of the particles come through, leaving some to just be frosty foily metallic pink bumps. And the removal sucks a little, but not as much as a glitter. All in all, this polish is a big big win for me! Here are the pictures!

HAUL HAUL HAUL

So, i know i already posted today, but i just got new finger paints!!!
I got all of these from Transdesign, except for American Apparel "Peacock" which my favorite roomie EVER gave me :)
Here's the pic of the whole haul:
That is... (from left to right)
China Glaze "Peachy Keen"
China Glaze "Something Sweet"
China Glaze "Good Witch?"
China Glaze "Light as Air"
American Apparel "Peacock"
Misa "Fountain of Youth"
i will have swatches soon!
And since i've had some pale pink controversy in my life before, here is a picture comparing just the bottle color of CND "Tutu," China Glaze "Something Sweet" and Color Club "Vintage Couture." "Something sweet" is more greyish/lilacy than either of them, which is nice. "Tutu" is a jelly which makes it differnt from the very flat "Vintage Couture." They actually look a lot less dupe-y in this picture than they are IRL.

CND "Asphalt" (A.K.A. flowers on my nails!)

First off- Feel totally totally free to hit that follower button right over there →
Secondly- happy Thursday.
Thirdly- This is form when my camera had battery, (you know, the good old days!) and I had just gotten my first stamp plates!

This is CND “Asphalt” Which is one of my favorite gray’s. The formula is absolutely crazy amazing, and the color reminds me of smooth dark gray leather. On top of it is Color Club “Vintage Couture.”
Here is the picture!
Loev you all!

FAIRY RUBBINGS (A.K.A. FAIRY RUBBINGS)

To continue with the trend of pooey IPhone photos, here is a manicure that I did a bit ago. I thought that it looked like a fairy had rubbed herself all over my nails. It’s China Glaze “Sea Spray” with Wet n’ Wild “Blue Wants to be a Millionaire” on top. SOOOO PRETTY! “blue wants to be a millionaire” is like a bluer version of China Glaze “Atlantis” which is the love of my life.
Here it is!

Have a lovely Day!

MERMAIDS! (A.K.A. i'm to classy for my shirt)

I had intended for these to be weekend nails, (as in glittery trashy messes) but somehow they became ridiculously classy. Down to the nitty gritty, this is Zoya “Envy” with Milani “Gold Lame” stamped on top of it, with a stamping plate my best friend sent me.
Sadly, the night that followed these nails took its cue from them and was classy. Not that classy is always a bad thing, but on a Friday night it sure can be.
Here are the pictures! And sorry for their pooey quality, I can’t find my camera charger, so they are iPhone photos.

Zoya "Gemma" (A.K.A. a sea of subdued mermaids)

Good Morning I know that there has already been a ridiculous amount of hype about this polish, and I am , as usual, late to the party, but I feel the need to gush a little.
But first, a disclaimer: I HATE THE FORMULA. I like to do think coats of polish, because I am clumsy and impatient, and that makes it so that there is a huge possibility that I will mess them up early on if they are not dry. But Gemma wouldn’t let me do that. It’s sort of runny and gloopy for me. I did not appreciate it one bit. I’ve heard other bloggers gush about it, but not me ☹
On the other hand, although my terrible pictures below fail to really capture it, this polish is like diving into a lagoon of subdued mermaids. It’s a beautiful dusty olive green color. Whenever I look at the bottle it surprises me, because it’s a very hard color to conceptualize. It’s sort of pastel, but sort of dusty, sort of drab, but with this beautiful pale electric blue shimmer poppin’ up at strange moments. It’s extremely multidimensional, and I love it.

Here are the pictures! Enjoy:

Sally Hansen Salon Effects "Girl Flower" (A.K.A not a sticker, really, i swear.)

First of all, I feel the need to apologize again for what a terrible blogger I’ve been, I’ve been very very neglectful. But I do have an excuse! I have had my computer back for the past 20 hours for the first time in more than a month. And it’s completely blank now, all I have left are the pictures that were left on my camera. So here’s the first set of those, from when I went home with my amazing boyfriend.
When on a trip with a significant other, at least for me, there really isn’t time to do my nails, so I figured that I would try out these sticker-like things everyone had been talking about. They were surprisingly easy to apply, the only problem I got was on one of my thumbs, and it was my first finger, so that’s to be expected. And it was completely unnoticeable to anyone but me, so the point is moot anyways! They were a really weird consistency, which is what makes me so adamant that they are not what we think of as nail stickers. They really are just partially dried nail polish, which you stick to your finger. Once you put on a topcoat it’s not likely to peel off like a sticker, but also not likely to chip like a polish. It was amazing.
I chose the “Girl Flower” not-sticker because, well, I love flowers. That’s that. I’m crazy about them. And I thought that there was no better place to photograph these flowers than in my favorite park in my hometown, hanging out on a sunny day with my love.
These pictures are after 4 days of wear.

there you go, lovelies. I promise to be more diligent than I ever was to make up for the forced hiatus. have a beautiful day,
love,
Frida
